The Meuse and Moselle are not only important waterways for trade and transport,
more than 10,000 km of flowing waters in France, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany,
they are habitats for numerous animal and plant species and over
22 million people from 23 departments and provinces. Living clear water is essential for our lives – therefore it is our responsibility to ensure that these valuable natural resources are protected and cared for.
